Draft Homepage.

To help me have an idea with what my homepage would look like, I  had to make a draft one. This helped me alot with knowing what layouts, colours etc i could use and also what ones are more attractive and that I like. How ever unfortunatly my fireworks proggrame wasnt working so after i saved half of  my draft, i was unfortunatly unable to add other componants or change anything.

I do like the way the picture has been done and also my heading.

The colours I  have used are quite typical for a music magazine, although I added pink to match the main image.

Started to think of fonts I could use for my heading.

I wanted my fonts to be similar to magazines like Q, Mojo and NME.

To get a good idea of what people like about music magazines i conducted a questionaire. This helped me know what people would like in my magazine and also it helps me to understand the audience I am appealing to and also if my magazine would sell.

 I found that out of the people i asked, the majority of them liked indie genre music magazines which is a very good result as this was the genre i had chosen to focus on. Also I found what price the majority of people would pay for a magazine aswell.  Overall i am impressed with the results.



Planning : Pictures, Costumes, Props

For my magazine I need to take my own images. These photos would be used through out my magazine and also as my main picture on the front cover.

Some ideas I had for my photos were 

• Black and white
• Female singer : Stereotype - Indie
• Bands :  Pictures of males singing, playing the guitar etc.
• Male singer : Stereotype - Punk, Indie, Alternative  

An idea I had for my main image is- I would have a female, dressed naturally possibly wearing skull kandy head phones (props) and possibly holding a guitar. I would want her to pose naturally but I would consider a more ' out there' pose. 

Other possible ideas for inside the magazine are : If i was to have an article on a new male singer, I would have images of the male , possible a male with tattoos ( a typical rock look ) ripped jeans, messy hair etc

Props for this could be Guitar, Drums , possible cigarettes etc
